Amical is a virtual assistant based on artificial intelligence, designed for people suffering from cognitive disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, intellectual disability or traumatic brain injury.
The device takes the form of a phone that can be installed in rooms or common areas of nursing homes.
Its design is intended to be intuitive, even for people unfamiliar with new technologies.
Without buttons or a screen, simply pick up the phone to talk to the virtual assistant, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Conversations with Amical help alleviate loneliness, anxiety and behaviors related to confusion or anxiety.

As Seen On

An Easy-to-Use Phone
Amical's retro design makes it easy to use, even for elderly people or those with advanced cognitive disorders. It's ideal for those who have difficulty using a smartphone or tablet.

You Can Customize the AI
During setup, you have access to a questionnaire that allows you to add information about your loved one, their life, as well as conversation topics to avoid. You can also choose the companion's name and voice, but you cannot clone a family member.
Stay in Touch with Your Loved One
Amical is also a real phone, allowing you to make calls and, soon, receive them from your loved one. You'll be able to configure rules to frame calls, for example 'no calls in the middle of the night'. In this case, the AI will tell your loved one that you're sleeping and to call back tomorrow.
