The Amical companions
Pauline is our flagship companion. Her voice was recorded by our co-founder's mother. She asks questions, listens, responds, and adapts the conversation to each person's profile.
Pauline isn't the only one. A dozen voices are available, male and female, younger or older, to choose from based on the resident's preferences.
Personalization
A companion tailored to each resident
For phones installed in individual rooms, the companion can be personalized based on the resident's life story: their family, career, memories, interests, hobbies, and favorite topics.
The companion can then talk about what truly matters to them. For example, hockey, music, gardening, travel, or personal anecdotes. You can also specify topics to avoid, so conversations always remain kind and appropriate.
In the platform, you can also change the companion's name, voice, conversation style, and even speaking pace. The voice can be younger or older, male or female, whichever suits the resident best.

The companion can speak Quebec French, France French, English, Italian, Portuguese, Arabic, Mandarin and more than 70 other languages.
This is a feature that resonates strongly with linguistic minorities in residences. An Italian-born woman, for instance, who spoke French all her life but is regressing toward her mother tongue due to Alzheimer's, can finally hold a conversation in her own language.
The companion also adapts its content to local culture: local weather, calendar holidays, and regional cultural references.

For residences, the portal makes it possible to manage a fleet of devices, schedule daily calls, receive real-time alerts, and grant role-based access to staff. Every action is logged.

During every conversation, the system analyzes certain signals in the background that may indicate a situation deserves particular attention.
It can identify different types of situations such as distress, concerning events, emotional changes, or other elements important to the person's well-being.
When a situation is detected, a notification may be sent to the family or authorized staff, accompanied by a summary of the conversation and an estimate of the probability that the detected situation is real.

All conversations are encrypted in transit and at rest. Servers are hosted in Montreal. Your data is never sold, nor used to train third-party AI models.
